We had so much fun on our field trip to the Planetarium learning about our solar system. In science, we are exploring our solar system and learning about our planets. It was great to put our learning into a real life simulation. Our next science unit is the Einstein Kit- Chemicals. Students will love this kit! We will conduct tests to determine which chemicals we are using. Students enjoy solving the mystery! : )
Next week, we are celebrating READ ACROSS AMERICA! We will have many fun reading activities planned throughout the week to celebrate reading : ) Please see the flyer coming home in the family folder! In addition, our Green Bay Bull Frogs reading program is about half way through! Remind your child to turn in their weekly reading log every Monday, so we can reach our classroom goal of reading 5,040 minutes. We enjoyed Jeremiah's visit to our school to get us energized.
In writing, we are started to publish our persuasive writing piece. We are excited to hear everyone's opinion and share our writing with the class.
We wrapped up Unit 4 in math, and now we began Unit 5. Unit 5 focuses heavily on solving various types of word problems. Students should still continue to practice their multiplication and division facts to build their fact fluency.
