It is hard to believe we are already half way done with the 2015-2016 school year. Everyone in Third Grade is working hard!! We are having a great time celebrating Catholic Schools Week!! In math, we finished up our unit 3 where we learned about units of measure. We are now learning how to estimate to see if our answer is reasonable and how to add and subtract multidigit numbers. Please continue to practice multiplication and division facts with your child. In reading, we are busy being active readers-summarizing, predicting, inferring, questioning, visualizing! We are going back into the text to find evidence to support our thinking. We are learning how to talk about books with one another. In writing, we are finishing up our informational research book, so can begin writing a "how to". Every student will write a "how to make peanut butter and jelly" informational book, and Miss. Agamaite will make each student a peanut butter and jelly sandwich just as they wrote. We will focus on the importance to be specific and including all details. After our Expository writing, in third quarter we will be writing an opinion paper. We are learning how to become better disciples to spread love and faith! Thank you for your continued support throughout the school year!
